IUPA Kanshiwa Takedown Bunkai

This is an older video set filmed when I was an invited guest at my good friend and Karate brother Dave Chow’s school.  I created a Bunkai for Kanshiwa Kata showing how each of the moves in Kanshiwa could be used to takedown a partner.  This is just a different look at the application of this Kata from the standard Bunkai seen in most schools.  It does not negate the other applications because there are a multitude of applications for any Kata move.  Kata are a library of principle that can form many books.  This to me is one use of Kata to hold all that knowledge in a brief set of movements.  BUT it takes exploration to see all that is there.
